GENERAL NOTES

1.  WHEN VOLUMES OF TRAFFIC DOES NOT WARRANT FULL WATCH OPERATION OF THIRD BOAT BUT VOLUME OF        HIGH CLASS LOADED TRAFFIC IS TOO GREAT FOR REGULAR TRIPS, SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS MAY BE MADE BY NEW HAVEN MARINE DEPARTMENT FOR OPERATION OF SECOND TOWS EASTWARD ON SUCH TRIPS AS SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES MAY WARRANT, PROVIDING:

(A) GREENVILLE CAN PROMPTLY LOAD.
(B) BAY RIDGE CAN HANDLE FOR SCHEDULED TRAIN DEPARTURES WITHOUT HOLDING AND YARDMASTER IN CHARGE GIVES DEFINITE PRIOR COMMITMENT.
(C) BOAT POWER AVAILABLE FOR PROMPT TOWING.

2.  WHEN REGULAR OF EXTRA FLOAT TRIPS CANNOT HANDLE EASTWARD TRAFFIC AVAILABLE AT GREENVILLE FOR SPECIFIC TRAIN CONNECTIONS PREFERENCE LOADING OF PERISHABLE AND HIGH CLASS IS NECESSARY.

3.  GENERAL YARDMASTER AT GREENVILLE IS EXPECTED TO GIVE SUITABLE ADVANCE NOTICE TO NEW HAVEN MARINE REPRESENTATIVE ON GROUND AS TO SPECIFIC BRIDGES IN WHICH PREFERENCE TRAIN CONNECTION CARS WILL BE LOADED SO THAT THE NEW HAVEN MARINE REPRESENTATIVE MAY EFFECT A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING AS TO WHAT FLOATS CONSTITUTE WHAT SCHEDULED OR EXTRA TRIP.

4.  WHEN VOLUMES OF TRAFFIC DOES NOT WARRANT THIRD BOAT AND VOLUME OF WESTWARD LOADED TRAFFIC IS SIGHT AT BAY RIDGE FOR SPECIFIC TRAIN CONNECTIONS IS TOO GREAT FOR REGULARLY OPERATED FLOAT TRIPS, SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS MAY BE MADE BY NEW HAVEN MARINE DEPARTMENT FOR OPERATION OF SECOND TOWS AS REQUIRED WHEN AGREED TO BY YARDMASTERS AT GREENVILLE AND BAY RIDGE.

5.  FLOAT TRIPS LOADED MORE THAN 30 MINUTES LATE MAY BE CANCELLED BY NEW HAVEN MARINE DEPARTMENT AND FLOATS TOWED ON FOLLOWING TRIPS.
